Upcoming Events

On Friday 5th February, The Matlock Storytelling Cafe invites one of the finest storytellers in the UK, as Shonaleigh Cumbers brings us The Diamond Girl and the Goat Horn Bee...

A day comes when everything changes. What should have been the happy ending is the beginning of a nightmare. A blessing has become a curse and the curse is the only way to survive. When her world is torn apart Reisal has to watch as her family disappears and she herself becomes nothing more than a pawn of the powerful...a quest is set in motion that seems impossible to fulfill.

Shonaleigh Cumbers is one of the foremost tellers on the British and world scene, a 21st century drut'syla reworking folk tales from the Jewish tradition.

"A witty, literate and engaging storyteller."
