Song workshop, Oct 09, with Sam Lee

In this fun and practical workshop Sam presented the rich and varied songs and singing styles native to these islands.  He explored the riches present in our balladic and oral tradition, as well as the laments, work songs, shanties, rounds and ditties that have been sung throughout history.  We experimented with vocal techniques, harmonies, improvisation and listened to field recordings of some of the timeless and ancient voices captured in the field.  Here's some of the feedback:
