During the past few years families visiting special events at Avoncroft Museum of Buildings will have been entertained by the Pop-Up Storytelling with the Storytellers Studio. Storytelling Cafe is a chance to leave the children at home and enjoy an evening of storytelling entertainment in the cosy surroundings of the Avoncroft Cafe.

Storytelling has always been a sociable activity so the cafe is an ideal intimate settings with its comfortable sofas and its close proximity to the storytellers.  Our storytellers will feed your souls with stories while the cafe will be there to feed you with delicious cake and fine wine.

The storytelling will be led by Graham Langley who has been running Storytelling Cafe in Midlands venues for nearly 20 years. He is a bright and colourful storyteller described by The Times as a 'storyteller for the 21st century,' Graham's enthusiasm, energy and lively performances have captivated audiences worldwide.

Cath Edwards is the host at Storytelling clubs in Stafford and Lichfield . She loves traditional stories and  folklore, to every imaginable sort of audience. Cath particularly enjoys funny stories and riddle tales, and there is always plenty of opportunity for the audience to join in.

The captivating host of Birmingham storytelling Cafe is Catriona Heatherington.
