Halloween Storytelling Trail, Sandwell

Category: Storytelling

Come along to the RSPB Visitor Centre to experience a traditional night of Halloween storytelling for families, with different sessions for different age groups.

5:00 – 6:00

Before darkness settles on the site the early session is specially for under 5’s. They will be led on a gentle walk during which the group will stop occasionally and listen to a story: not too scary but with a few oohs and aahs, and the occasional shout or scream.

Stories will include rhymes and songs with lots of opportunities to join in.

6:00 – 8:00

As dusk settles into a disturbing darkness, groups will be led from the centre on a walk through the site, where they will meet a series of spooky storytellers hidden in quiet, dark corners of the woods.  The stories will be suitable for older and braver children (and their parents) but sensitively and scarily told.

Then it is back to the centre for more stories and maybe a warm drink of dragon's blood and a slice of spiderweb pie.

Bring your imagination and a warm coat – and a parent.

Tickets: £5 children / £4 children RSPB members, £2 adults
