Barn Dances and Ceilidhs

Social events for all the family and all ages. If you don't know how to do English Country dancing, you will soon learn, as the caller will explain the steps before the music starts and will then remind you what to do next.  It's great fun, even if you go wrong!

Although we don't organise dance events on a regular basis, there's usually one in the pipeline - sign up for our newsletter (below, left) to make sure you don't miss out.   The next dance we know about is on 19 March at Beechwood Lawn Tennis Club, Beechwood Avenue, Earlsdon, Coventry CV5 6FQ with live music by Fray'd Knot.  This is a fundraiser for Friends Of Ibba Girls School which educates girls so they become women who influence their society, and are able to help end the cycle of violence and conflict in South Sudan - click here for more details about the event and how to buy tickets.

Regular social dance clubs in the Midlands include the Coventry Ceilidh Club, the Mumpers in Derby, Northampton Ceilidhs, Red Fox Ceilidhs in Leicester (sometimes listed as Guildhall Ceilidhs), and the Alcester Contras every month, in the American style.  There's also barn dance fitness - a social activity where you can do barn dancing as a get-fit activity on a weekly basis - which currently runs three classes in term times:
Mon 8pm @ Church of the Ascension Hall, School Road, Hall Green, B28 9DX
Tue 12-1pm @ Stirchley Baths Community Centre, Bournville, B30 2JT
Wed 6pm @ The Link, Water Orton (junction of M42/M5), B46 1QU
