Barn Dances and Ceilidhs

Social events for all the family and all ages. If you don't know how to do English Country dancing, you will soon learn, as the caller will explain the steps before the music starts and will then remind you what to do next.  It's great fun, even if you go wrong!

Although we don't organise dance events on a regular basis, there's usually one in the pipeline - sign up for our newsletter (below, left) to make sure you don't miss out.   As it happens, there will be three in Birmingham in November!  Black Adder have one on Saturday 15 November at the Charles Engelbach Memorial Hall in Northfield.  The second will be on Saturday 22 November at the Transport Stadium, Wheelers Lane, Kings Heath, with live music from Mad Moll and caller John Shakespeare.  This is a fundraiser and you can get more info from Eye Survive.  And the third will be on Saturday 29 November at the All Saints Centre in Kings Heath, with live music from Mad Moll and caller Frances Richardson - more info from the Trad Arts Team or the Centre.

Regular ceilidh clubs in the Midlands include the Coventry Ceilidh Club, the Mumpers in Derby, Northampton Ceilidhs, and Red Fox Ceilidhs in Leicester - sometimes listed as Guildhall Ceilidhs.  There's also the Alcester Contras every month, in the American style.  Even more opportunities to dance are listed here.
