NLP has long been a powerful tool for advanced communication skills in business, therapy and coaching, and has its roots in psychology, linguistics – and learning theory.

Professionals in these areas have been using and developing NLP related skills to develop themselves and their practice for over thirty years, but few people realise that one root of NLP came from studying really great storytellers. In this workshop we will look at these approaches specifically as tools to enhance your art as a storyteller. The day will focus on two areas:

Leading your audience; how NLP techniques can help you to create and maintain:
• rapport with your audience,
• mood and emotional states in your listeners
• rich multi-sensory images as well and space for your audience to create their own images

To influence your audience you must first be in command of yourself; how to change your own mood and state to enhance your performance. Including:
• Accessing and using your own best moments at will
• Changing your own emotional and mental state
• Gaining and maintaining focus

The practice and teaching of NLP is based primarily on curiosity and playfulness, so the workshop will be practical and fun with lots of opportunity to explore and practice the ideas introduced.

The workshop will be lead by Roisνn Murray, storyteller, trainer and Master Practitioner in NLP.
