YSOY 2012 - winners

Throughout the day young storytellers from across the country told stories in front of an enthusiastic audience of nearly 100 people at Birmingham Library Theatre.  Amongst the audience were two people listening with great attention - they were the judges Michael Harvey and Rachel Rose Reid.  No one envied them their task, but in the end they made their choices.

The joint Winners Under 18 were Hayley Phillips from Birmingham and Bronwen Hughes from Wales

In this age group there is also an award for the best group which went to Shana Dellow, Chelsea Jeffrey & Shauna Woodward from Cambridge
      
The People's Prize chosen by the audience themselves went to Sachin Jhalli from Wolverhampton

YSOY has always had an international flavour and this year we had a visit from three young Italian storytellers from the Raccontamiunastoria company based in Rome. One of them, Martina Rigoni, performed as a guest storyteller whilst the judges carried out their deliberations.
