Barn Dances and Ceilidhs

Social events for all the family and all ages.  If you don't know how to do English Country dancing, you will soon learn, as the caller will explain the steps before the music starts and will then remind you what to do next.  It's great fun, even if you go wrong!

Although we don't organise dance events on a regular basis, there's usually one in the pipeline - sign up for our newsletter (below, left) to make sure you don't miss out.   The next one we know about is the monthly French dance and music session in Alvechurch Village Hall.

Regular social dance clubs in the Midlands include Derby Ceilidhs, the Mumpers (also in Derby), Northampton Ceilidhs and Red Fox Ceilidhs in Leicester.  There's the Coventry Zesty Playford (party like it's 1651!), and Alcester Contras are held every month in the American style.  The Nottingham Ceilidh Club run regular ceilidhs, and carry info about other dances in the area on their facebook page.  There's also barn dance fitness - a social activity where you can do barn dancing as a get-fit activity on a weekly basis in Hall Green and Stirchley.
