Wednesday 6 May: What's the (Lucas) Plan now?
Facing factory closures and looming unemployment in 1976, The Lucas Aerospace Combine Committee published an Alternative Plan to produce “socially useful products” to meet community needs. Many of these products, dismissed by management at the time, are now considered mainstream sustainability technologies. Watch a short documentary made at the time.
At 7pm on Wednesday 6 May there will be a Zoom discussion of the Lucas Plan, organised by MayDay Radio – email for joining details

Pandemic Open Mic Mondays
David Rovics sends this message:
“I'm going to start hosting an Open Mic every Monday at 6 pm GMT, and if any Sing Political folks might like to join, I'd be thrilled.  I'm hosting it on Streamyard (kinda like Zoom, but more for hosting stuff like this), and broadcasting it on multiple platforms, including the Song News Network's Facebook page.”  Info on how to join is at on David's POMM webpage
