THE PRIZES

bullet Two prizes for the winners of the titles Young Storyteller of the Year and Highly Commended of performance spots at Whitby Folk Week 16-22 August

bullet One prize for the winner of the title Young Storyteller of the Year of a performance spot at the Society for Storytelling Annual Gathering in Uckfield, Sussex, with travel expenses, accommodation, food and weekend ticket included (11-13 April) 

bullet Three prizes to be shared by winners in the category 25 and Under of performance spots at Birmingham Storytelling CafeMatlock Storytelling Cafe and Stafford Knot Storytelling Club (dates to be agreed)

bullet One year's free Public Liability Insurance for the winner of the title Young Storyteller of the Year (Thanks to Musicians Insurance Services)

bullet £50 cash prize for Young Storyteller of the Year 2014 (18 & Under)  (Thanks to kind donations from storytellers Carl Merry and Ingrid Barton)

bullet £50 cash prize for Best Young Group 18 & Under  (Thanks to a kind donation by an anonymous storyteller)

bullet One year's free membership of the Society for Storytelling for all title winners  

bullet   The Welsh Prize for the best storyteller (18 or over) of Welsh descent or living in Wales or telling a Welsh story: a free place on a weekend storytelling course led by Hugh Lupton and Daniel Morden in North Wales, 28-30 March with £25 towards travel expenses.  (Thanks to kind donations by Ty Newydd Writers' Centre and storyteller Carl Merry)

bullet The James Award for best newcomer under 18: £25 cash (Thanks to a kind donation by an anonymous storyteller)
